Capital Project - Phase 3B: Alterations to Elementary Schools and Bus Garage The Board of Education of the Averill Park Central School District invites the submission of Separate Sealed Bid Proposals to furnish materials and labor to complete the Capital Project - Phase 3B: Alterations to Elementary Schools and Bus Garage all in accordance with the plans and specifications for the following categories of work: ELECTRICAL Any bid may be withdrawn without prejudice prior to the official bid opening time or any publicized postponement thereof. Any bid received after the time and date stated above will be returned to the bidder unopened. Digital Bidding Documents: Complete digital sets of Bidding Documents may be purchased and downloaded online at the website. See additional information on the website or contact Camelot's Bid Department at camelotbids@teamcamelot.com for pricing. Each Bidder shall prepare their bid proposal, along with a bid security, in accordance with the terms and subject to the conditions set forth in the "Information for Bidders". Attention of bidders is particularly called to the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed and the minimum wage rates to be paid under the contracts. No bidder may withdraw their bid within 45 days after the date of the actual bid opening. The Board of Education reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities or defects in such bid either before or after the bid opening. ESTIMATES: ELECTRICAL $ 1,800,000 SCOPE: The work includes secure vestibule upgrades and various MEP improvements to George Washington Elementary, Miller Hill Elementary, Poestenkill Elementary, West Sand Lake Elementary, as well as MEP improvements at the district's Bus Garage. Bus Garage: 156 Gettle Road, Averill Park, NY 12018 b. George Washington Elementary School: 344 Menemsha Lane, Troy, NY 12180 c. Miller Hill Elementary School: 8439 Miller Hill Road, Averill Park, NY 12018 d. Poestenkill Elementary School: 1 Veterans Street, Poestenkill, NY 12140 e. West Sand Lake Elementary School: 24 Meeler Road, West Sand Lake,NY 12196 The Work consists of the following: 1. The Work includes alterations to the main entrances to improve safety and security, assorted MEP upgrades, and window replacements at all four of the district's elementary schools. The work also includes replacing the in-ground lifts at the Bus Garage. Phase 3B - Electrical Construction shall provide temporary power and lighting for work areas, in accordance with the contract documents, Project Master Construction Schedule and specification section 015000 Temporary Facilities and Controls. A. Furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision necessary to complete all work in strict accordance with the following specification sections: Electrical Specification Index complete and in its entirety. Division 0 - Contract Documents as they pertain to this scope of work. Division 1 - General Requirements as they pertain to this scope of work. Division 2 THRU 31- Contract Documents as they pertain to this scope of work. B. Work to include, but not limited to the following: 1. Provide all daily labor and equipment necessary to dispose of materials and debris created by this contract into dumpsters as required, dumpsters to be provided by Phase 3B - General Construction. 2. Provide all necessary permits, fees, inspections, warranties, approvals and coordination with Local, County, State and federal Agencies having jurisdiction. 3. All layout and coordination in a timely manner with all other Contracts necessary to complete this scope of work. 4. Unless otherwise stated in individual scopes of work, each Contract shall provide all cutting and patching of work surfaces to complete its work. 5. Provide all interior and exterior excavation and backfill as required to complete work. 6. Disconnect all existing equipment to be removed or relocated. 7. Provide all Temporary Power and Lighting complete. 8. Provide removal and re-installation of existing ceiling components not shown on the drawings but required for the completion of this scope of work. 9. Coordinate routing of all conduit and lighting with other trades prior to installation. 10. Provide temporary protection of all fire alarm devices impacted by construction activities. 11. Provide all Penetration and Joint Firestopping as it pertains to this scope of work 12. Provide all Caulking and Sealants as it pertains to this scope of work. 13. Provide all Final Cleaning as it pertains to this scope of work. 14. Provide all Closeout Procedures as it pertains to this scope of work. 15. All work related to Alternate #1, Miller Hill ES Bathroom Renovations is scheduled to be completed Summer '26. 16. Electrical Work related to the Bus Garage is scheduled to begin March 17th, 2025. Provide necessary labor to meet Milestone and Master Project Schedule. 17. Fire Alarm scope at all locations will be scheduled to begin as quickly as possible after Contract Execution, during after hours in accordance with the Milestone and Master Project Schedule.
