Closing time: 3:00PM Question Acceptance Deadline 2024/10/16 3:00PM GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS Perform all work within existing safety requirements of jurisdictional authorities, Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations, Workplace Health, Safety and Compensation Regulations, National Building Code - Section 8 "Safety Measures. at Construction and Demolition Sites and all other relevant acts, ordinances, by-laws, regulations and codes. Protect adjoining buildings and sites from damage caused by this work and make good, at no cost to Owner, any such damages. Protect the property of tenants and interior finishes by using drop sheets, tarpaulins, etc. Pump dry excavations, pits and other construction holes or depressions. Remove snow and ice immediately from all parts of the building except 5 from finished roof. Immediately repair, resod and replant any damaged lawns, planting, landscaping area or building surfaces or structures. Do not store materials in building in a manner to overload the structure beyond its design capacity. 8 Keep surfaces to be finished free of dirt, grease, oil and other deleterious materials which may impair the subsequent application of finishes. 9 Schedule finish work at end of construction when interference from tradesmen is at a minimum. 10 Do not allow heavy or rough items to rest against finished surfaces. 11 Protect each finished surface of completed work by methods approved by its applicator. 12 Protect roof membranes from damage following their installation and during remainder of project work. 13 Enforce fire prevention methods at site: 1 Do not permit bonfires, open flame heating devices or accumulation of debris. 2 Store and use inflammable materials in accordance with applicable safety standards. 3 Do not store flammable materials in the building. 4 Take necessary precautions to prevent spontaneous combustion. Complete Building Condition Assessment (BCA) as per requirements of Canada Greener Affordable Housing (CGAH) program .1 Outline the condition of major building components and systems, such as building envelope, structure, etc., and note any health and safety defects. 2 Outline repairs and renewals due within the next 5 years. 3 Include the estimated remaining economic life of the retrofitted project as improved based on the remaining life of the building components and system information. 4 Consultant to enter minimum of 2 units to complete interior section of Building condition report.
