Demolition, site work and new construction of a medical facility in El Paso, Texas. Design plans call for the demolition of a medical facility; for the construction of a medical facility; and for site work for a medical facility.
This project includes the acquisition of land for Office of the Medical Examiner (OME) and additional funds to construct a new Office of the Medical Examiner. The Office of the Medical Examiner is responsible for the medicolegal death investigation as well as the determination of cause and manner of death in sudden, unexpected, or unexplained deaths occurring within the El Paso County. The services provided include forensic scene investigation, forensic pathology, morgue services, forensic imaging, forensic odontology, forensic anthropology, and forensic toxicology. This project is part of the county’s bond. As of November 14, 2025, the project is in design and pre-construction stage. Information regarding design firm, construction manager, and general contractor selection has not been released. Further details regarding design and construction timelines have not been released.
