Site work for a water / sewer project in Chatham, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

The Town of Chatham is accepting bids for the construction of Seaside Links Golf Course pump station, located at 209 Seaview St., Chatham, Ma 02633 The overall scope of the project includes o Demolition and removal of the current pump station (pump station only, building that houses unit will remain) o Installation of a new pump station. The Town is seeking a qualified contractor (OSHA training certification required) to complete the project. The selected contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, materials and services required in accordance with the projects scope as well as comply with all State and Town ordinances. The Town of Chatham reserves the right to accept and/or reject any or all bids and award contracts in the best interest of the Town of Chatham. Question Deadline 10/31/2024 All questions on the Request for proposals must be submitted in writing via email to smabile@chatham-ma.gov prior to the close of business Pump Station- Removal of Current Pump (Does not include the building that houses unit) 1. Provide and maintain temporary fences, barriers, lights, guardrails, and barricades as necessary to secure the site and protect persons and property. 2. The contractor shall inspect the conditions of the site and report any concerns or discrepancies that would affect the proposed project and report to Town Staff. 3. Remove existing pump and all materials associated with the pump. Pump Station- Installation 1. Purchase and install a DAF Model #VDTP-500-2-120, Vertical Turbine, variable frequency pump station designed to deliver: 500 GPM @ 120 PSI at station discharge. Pumps: 1ea- 5-hp and 1ea60hp pump. Electrical power shall be 460 Volt, 3Phase, 60 Hertz. 2. Contractor shall exercise care so as not to damage existing grass, trees, or other property during the construction. The contractor shall repair or replace any damaged grass, trees, or material, should damage occur during construction. 3. Contractor is responsible for obtaining all permits associated with the project. 4. Standard construction should include: o UL Listed Industrial Control Panel assembly. o NEMA 4 electrical enclosure o 200 amp disconnect. o 20" Side mount Heat exchanger o Microprocessor controlled sequencing of pumps with industrial grade PLC. o 5.7" Color HMI o Controls with graphical color touch screen operator interface featuring: o Digital flow and pressure display o Both cumulative and re-settable gallons pumped indicators o Elapsed run time display per pump o Daily, Weekly, Monthly, and Annual Flow Totals o Automatic alternation of equal sized pumps based on elapsed time. o Alarm conditions with safety shut down and condition time stamp: o Low discharge pressure alarm o High discharge pressure alarm o VFD fault shutdown with auto restart o Individual motor overload alarm o High pump temperature alarm. Main pump & Pressure Maintenance o Incoming Phase-Low Voltage-Imbalance alarm o Automatic re-pressurization after fault condition o System manual/off/automatic selector switch Individual pump on/off selector switch o Premium electrical surge protection for main station and solid-state controls: o 60 HP ABB ACQ 580 series Variable Frequency Drive for pressure regulation control of main pump. o 5 HP Switch Gear Assembly o Fused motor protection rated for 200,000 A.I.C. o Replace existing exhaust fan o Install relief valve unless its not required with the VFD o Across the line/VFD, mechanically interlocked starter with class 10 overload protection for all pump switched with drive. o (1) - 60 HP, 1800-RPM vertical pump and motors (US Motors Premium Efficient) o (1) - 5 HP, 4" Submersible Water Well o Skid Construction Should Include: o Skid perimeter: heavy C channel o Skid substructure: Box steel o Pump mounting plate: 1/2 " mill plate. o Continuous weld of all plating on skid o Two-part blasting process: First steel grit, Second aluminum oxide media o Two-part powder coat paint process o 8" Manifold o Individual pump check valves o Individual pump isolation valves o 4" flow spool with Data Industrial 220B flow sensor o Station discharge isolation valve o 4" liquid filled gauges o Hose bib connection on pump discharge manifold o Cloud View web based remote monitoring including one year data plan. o Owner's Manual o 1 yr. warranty from date of start-up. o 1 Winterization 5. After installation, connect control panel to Main Power.
