**As of November 8, 2024, this project has not yet been awarded. The project is expected to be awarded on November 13, 2024.** The major construction items are estimated as follows: 553 L.F. Granite Block Curb; 360 L.F. Concrete Vertical Curb; 203 S.Y. of Concrete Sidewalk; 855 S.Y. Hot Mix Asphalt Pavement Repair; 28,675 S.Y. HMA Milling, 2" or less; 3,305 Tons HMA 9.5M64 Surface Course; and other items typically required of a roadway resurfacing/ construction project. Bids for the contract must be submitted on standard proposal forms furnished by the Township of Morris in the manner designated therein and required by the Specifications. Bids must be enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address of the bidder and must be addressed to the Purchasing Department, Township of Morris, 50 Woodland Avenue, PO Box 7603, Convent Station, NJ 07961-7603 and clearly marked "OTE 2024-07 WOODLAND AVENUE RESURFACING PROJECT" No bids will be accepted after the bid opening has commenced. Bids may be hand delivered, mailed, or submitted by courier, and must be received by the time, date, and place specified . The Township of Morris will not assume responsibility for bids forwarded by mail or delivery service. The guaranty accompanying the bid proposal shall be given in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the base bid, minimum of $500.00 and not to exceed twenty thousand dollars ($20,000.00), and may be given at the option of the bidder by a Certified Check, Cashier's Check, or a Bid Bond from a reputable insurance company licensed in the State of New Jersey. Pursuant to NJSA 52:32-44, all business organizations that conduct business with a New Jersey government agency are required to be registered with the State of New Jersey. Bidders and their subcontractors must submit proof that they are registered with the New Jersey Department of Treasury, Division of Revenue by submitting a copy of their Business Registration Certificate. Failure to provide the Business Registration Certificate prior to award of the contract will be cause for rejection of the bid as being nonresponsive. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17-27. Bids may be held by the Township of Morris for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days from the date of opening of bids for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of bidders, prior to awarding the contract.
