The City of Prairie City, Iowa, is seeking proposals for engineering services for a street intersection design located south of S Norris Street, Prairie City, IA. Based on review of the RFPs, the City intends to hire a firm for design services. Analyzing existing connecting street (S Norris St), proposed plans to connect Prairie View subdivision street (W Prairie View Court), the Sports complex drive, and the existing shared use path/trail with the proposed street intersection design. The proposer shall coordinate and communicate the design and construction of the street intersection project with the engineer and their design of Prairie View subdivision and proposed connecting street. 3) Approval of Proposal & Contract by City Council 11/13/2024 4) Preliminary Design to City Staff 12/31/2024 5) Preliminary Design to City Council 1/8/2025 6) Final Design to City Staff 1/31/2025 7) Final Design to City Council 2/12/2025 8) Bid Letting February/March 2025 Any questions as to the meaning of the scope of work and/or technical specifications or other preproposal documents must be submitted in writing and shall be directed to Jerry Moore, City Administrator, at (515) 994-2649 or Jerry.moore@prairiecityiowa.us, who will provide instructions for submitting requests.
