Ductile Iron Water Main All Bidders Must Complete and Submit a Decatur Utilities Bidder Application by 4 P.m. Thursday, October 31st, 2024, in Order to Be Reviewed and Approved for Bidding. Furnishing All Labor, Tools, Materials and Equipment Needed for Performing the Work According to the Specifications and Contract Documents as Hereinafter Described. The Work Will Be Let Under One Contract if Award Should Be Made; and the Owner Reserves the Right to Select the Bid Considered by the Owner to Be in the Best Interest of the Owner. The Principal Items of Work to Be Performed Under This Contract Are Outlined Herein Below: Base Bid Items This Project Will Generally Consist of 700 Lf of 16" Class 350 Ductile Iron Water Main, 130 Lf of 32" Steel Casing via Open-cut, 1,200 Lf of 20" Class 250 Ductile Iron Sewer Force Main With Protecto-401 Lining, and All Associated Appurtenances. No Bid May Be Withdrawn After the Time for Opening of Bids Has Passed. The Owner Reserves the Right to Hold the Bids for a Period of Up to Ninety (90) Days After the Date of Receipt of Bids. A Bid Bond or Cashier's Check in an Amount of Not Less Than Five Percent (5%) of the Total Amount Bid (but Not More Than $10,000) Must Accompany Each Proposal. The Payee of Such Bond or Cashier's Check Shall Be Municipal Utilities Board of Decatur, Morgan County, Alabama. The Bid Bond or Cashier's Check Shall Bear the Same Date as That Set for Receipt of Bids.
