1. Important Dates 1.1. Summary The Town of Nantucket, through its Town Administration and Affordable Housing Trust Fund, is seeking proposals from qualified developers for the development, within local zoning, and ongoing management of no more than three (3) units of year-round permanently restricted housing on a portion of Town-owned land located at 7 Amelia Drive, Nantucket. The portion of the land to be developed contains approximately seven thousand seven hundred and fifty-six (7,756) square feet. (Being a portion of Lot 26 Plan 2023-27 included in Attachment A - the "Property"). A copy of the deed to the Town-owned land recorded with Nantucket County Registry of Deeds in Book 1704, Page 245, is attached as Attachment B. 1.2. Background The Town of Nantucket is located 30 miles off the south coast of Cape Cod. It was settled in 1659 and incorporated in 1671. The Town has an annual year-round population of over 14,000 and approximately 60,000 seasonal residents. The island is 14 miles in length and 3 1/2 miles wide. The Town of Nantucket is within the County of Nantucket. It operates an operated skilled nursing facility, an extensive Public School System and other municipal operations. The Town functions under a Town Manager/Select Board form of government. The Select Board operates under a Charter and enacts policies intended to promote and enhance the general welfare of the Town. 1.3.
