Completed plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; for paving for a bridge / tunnel; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

The work to be performed under this Contract includes furnishing of labor, tools, equipment, temporary support structures, and materials for Tower Spans Deck Replacement for the BurlingtonBristol Bridge. The work on the bridge structure includes the removal and replacement of the cross beams, deck, steel curbs, sidewalk, bridge railing and deck joints along the Tower Spans of the Burlington-Bristol Bridge. As necessary, the Contractor shall provide for Maintenance & Protection of Traffic while work is being performed as required by the Engineer. The Contractor is required to coordinate with the Engineer all temporary bridge and lane closures for the approval by the Commission. The Bridge Lift Span 5 must open upon demand for marine traffic unless written approval is granted by the US Coast Guard. Box 6, Palmyra, New Jersey 08065-1090; and must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check or bid bond drawn to the order of the Burlington County Bridge Commission for 10% of the bid, not to exceed $20,000. Bidders are reminded of the percentage of the work which is permitted to be subcontracted in accordance with Subsection 108.01 Subcontracting. Late bids will not be accepted or considered. The Burlington County Bridge Commission assumes no responsibility for bids mailed or misdirected in delivery. The Commissioners reserve the right to accept or reject all bids and waive nonmandatory defects or informalities in bids, in accordance with law.
