Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a mixed-use development in Burlington Township, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; for paving for a bridge / tunnel; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
The work to be performed under this Contract includes furnishing of labor, tools, equipment, temporary support structures, and materials for Tower Spans Deck Replacement for the BurlingtonBristol Bridge. The work on the bridge structure includes the removal and replacement of the cross beams, deck, steel curbs, sidewalk, bridge railing and deck joints along the Tower Spans of the Burlington-Bristol Bridge. As necessary, the Contractor shall provide for Maintenance & Protection of Traffic while work is being performed as required by the Engineer. The Contractor is required to coordinate with the Engineer all temporary bridge and lane closures for the approval by the Commission. The Bridge Lift Span 5 must open upon demand for marine traffic unless written approval is granted by the US Coast Guard. Burlington County Bridge Commission A-2 Advertisement for Proposals BCBC - 202403 Burlington-Bristol Bridge Tower Spans Deck Replacement Bids must be made on standard bid forms in the manner designated therein and required by the specifications; must be enclosed in sealed envelopes bearing the name and address of the Bidder and solicitation identification on outside; addressed to the Burlington County Bridge Commission, 1325 Route 73 North, P.O. Box 6, Palmyra, New Jersey 08065-1090; and must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check or bid bond drawn to the order of the Burlington County Bridge Commission for 10% of the bid, not to exceed $20,000. All Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.27 New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act, N.J.S.A.10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27 Affirmative Action, N.J.S.A.52:25-24.2 Statement of Corporate Ownership, N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.48 et seq Public Works Contractor Registration Act and N.J.S.A. 52:32-44 New Jersey Business Registration Certification. Bidders must complete the Responsible Contractor Certification form. Bidders shall be qualified under NJDOT work type classification, 4. Bridge or 5. Heavy Highway, and 42. Complex Truss Rehabilitation for the main work tasks as described in Section 104 - Scope of Work. The remaining work tasks shall be performed by the Bidder if qualified, or by qualified Subcontractors. Bidders are reminded of the percentage of the work which is permitted to be subcontracted in accordance with Subsection 108.01 Subcontracting. Late bids will not be accepted or considered. The Burlington County Bridge Commission assumes no responsibility for bids mailed or misdirected in delivery. The Commissioners reserve the right to accept or reject all bids and waive nonmandatory defects or informalities in bids, in accordance with law.
