Site work and new construction of a municipal facility in Westminster, Maryland. Completed plans call for the construction of a municipal facility; and for site work for a municipal facility.

Question Deadline 10/17/2024 Bidders must submit their questions through the Public Purchase website, using the instructions below. Questions must be submitted five (5) days prior to bid opening. 1.1 The contractor is to construct a pole barn that is 70'W x 80'L x 18'H, including a 34'W x 34'L x 18'H reverse gable bump-out with an open tie in wall, in the Northeast corner ofthe maintenance center property. Located at 1250 Old Meadow Branch Road, Westminster, MD 21158. 1.2 Between the pole building to be constructed and the existing lean-to building, must be a 14' space to provide room for equipment to easily drive to the back side ofthe building. 1.3 4) 14'W x 14'H garage doors with openers to be installed on the South side ofthe building closest to the road. 1.4 Roof and siding material will be metal panels. Siding will be 28 Gauge and Roofing will be 27 Gauge. 70' Standard Trusses, 4' on center, 4/12 pitch, snow load by code and design 1.5 Eaves and Gables will have a 1' overhang with gutters and downspouts. 1.6 Roofto be insulated with a vapor barrier and include a ridge vent. 1.7 Floors will be 6" concrete with expansion joints, fiber mesh,3500 psi, top sealer (Carroll County Provided) 6" modified stone base. 1.8 Site prep and existing blacktop removal will be performed by Carroll County. 1.9 All work must be completed within 3 calendar months 1.10 Contractor is to keep a tidy work area through the duration ofthe project and provide a thorough cleaning before the final walkthrough. 1.11 Contractor will provide Engineered Sealed Blueprints 1.12 Project is to take place during normal operating hours (6:30am-5:00pm). Weekend work, if needed, must be scheduled and approved with the Facilities Project Manager (Listed in section 3.0). The purpose of this project is to purchase and install a new pole building at the Carroll County Maintenance Center located at 1250 Old Meadow Branch Road, Westminster, MD 21158, in accordance with the description and specifications contained herein. All bidders are required to submit a bid bond in the form of a Bid Bond or certified check made payable to the Carroll County Commissioners in the amount of five (5%) of the base bid. The bid bond must be scanned and attached as part of your submittal on Public Purchase. The original Bid Bond will be required and should be mailed to the Carroll County Office of Purchasing arriving on the bid due date, but no later than two (days) after the bid due date.
