The proposed Work is generally described as follows: Construction of an ~127 million gallon off-stream storage basin adjacent to the existing water treatment plant. Work is inclusive of an embankment, auxiliary spillway, sloping intake, and piping/valves/equipment necessary for conveyance to/from the storage basin. Bids will be received on a lump sum basis, including unit prices, allowances, and alternatives as described in the Contract Documents. Bid security must accompany each Bid. The Successful Bidder will be required to furnish a construction performance bond and a construction payment bond as security for the faithful performance and the payment of all bills and obligations arising from the performance of the Contract. Bidder qualifications: A. Related experience. Bidder, under current company name, shall have completed a minimum of 3 dam-related projects in the last 12 years, with at least 1 of those projects being a new construction dam with a contract value of at least $10 million. B. Qualified personnel. The project manager shall have at least 15 years of experience,and experience as a project manager on at least 3 previous projects of $7 million ormore. The project superintendent shall have at least 15 years of experience, andexperience as a project superintendent on at least 3 previous projects of $7 million ormore. C. Acceptable safety record. Experience Modification Rate (EMR) of 1.0 or less for atleast two of the last three years and no more than 1.2 in any one of the last threeyears. D. Licensed in South Carolina. This project is funded by RIA SCIIP. Contractor and all Subcontractors will be required to conform to the wage rates set forth in the Contract Documents.
