Conceptual plans call for the addition of a 64,000-square-foot educational facility; for the demolition of a educational facility; for the renovation of a 542,000-square-foot educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility.

The North Penn School District is soliciting proposals for asbestos / hazardous materials abatement design and project management services for the additions and renovations to North Penn High School. The school is located at: North Penn High School 1340 Valley Forge Road Lansdale, PA 19446 Scope: The additions and renovations to the North Penn High School includes three (3) additions totaling approximately 64,000 square feet and renovation of the existing 542,000 square foot building. There will be two (2) bid packages for asbestos / hazardous materials abatement as noted below. Bid Package 1 - Bid March / April 2025 Vinyl Asbestos Tile (VAT) / Mastic abatement in "A" Pod, approx. start date June 2025 Bid Package 2 (Remainder of Project) - Bid May 2025 Asbestos Window Glazing abatement at select locations December 2025 Transportation Facility - June 2026 B Pod 2nd Floor - June to August 2026 and June to July 2027 C Pod - June 2026, December 2026 and June to August 2027 J Pod - April 2027 and June to August 2027 H Pod - December 2027 and March 2028 E Pod - March 2028 and June to August 2028 D Pod - July to August 2028, Feb. to March 2029, June to August 2029 G Pod - June to August 2029 Snyder Rd. (Radio Station) - June 2030 The proposal award may be made within thirty (30) days of the submission date. Project Design services shall consist of the following. A. Work with the NPSD and the NPSD Construction Manager to prepare technical specifications and drawings for each bid package. Drawings and specifications shall outline the required abatement / removal and proper disposal of asbestos and hazardous materials identified at the North Penn High School. The identified materials include the following: 1. Asbestos-Containing Materials 2. PCB Caulking 3. Lead-Based Paint 4. Universal Wastes (PCB Ballasts, Mercury Light Tubes, Mercury Thermostats, etc.) The Design Professional shall be provided with the existing pre-renovation environmental inspection reports, including those prepared by Criterion Environmental Services in January 2022 and use this data to prepare the necessary abatement specifications. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
