Site work for a civil project in Hamilton, Ontario. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

The scope of work includes upgrades to four (4) existing Valve Chambers (VC) that are positioned between the existing Low Lift Pumping Station (LLPS) and the pre-treatment process. In addition, the existing Raw Water Control Valve Chamber (RWCVC) No. 1 will be extended below grade to accommodate process equipment relocations. The detailed scope of work includes but is not limited to the following: - Replacement and supply of five (5) large-diameter (1200 mm/1500 mm diameter) butterfly valves in multiple VCs, including new manual actuators, gearboxes, and position indicators for surface-level access, stainless steel pipe supports, and spool pieces/couplings; - Rehabilitation of VCs, including repair of concrete damage/cracking, new ladders complete with side safety rails and safety posts, new aluminum manhole covers for interior sections and removal of unused/abandoned piping; - New aluminum access hatches for the VCs; - Installation of a blind flange/steel plate within a VC; - Installation of new aluminum platforms inside a VC; - Installation of a new sump pump; - Excavation for the RWCVC No. 1 chamber extension across existing roadway; - Relocation of a buried pipe sanitary pending, including a temporary bypass; - Construction of the new RWCVC No. 1 extension to accommodate relocation of existing flowmeter, including cast-in-place concrete, cutting of new accessway along chamber wall, and partial removal of existing 2100 mm diameter pipe section; - Relocation of existing flowmeter into the RWCVC No. 1 extension with new signal wiring (control wire splicing will not be accepted); - Electrical upgrades, including new lighting/receptacle, new buried duct bank extension for power supply; - Fan upgrades and ductwork modifications in RWCVC No. 1; - Installation of temporary industrial supply water line to an industrial user building; - Start-up, testing, and commissioning of equipment; - Hydraulic flushing/clearing of process piping/drain lines, as needed; and - Execution of confined space work within VCs.
