As of February 21, 2025, is underway. The construction project — which stretches from Fauber Road at the north to Middle Road in the south — will also include reconstruction of Middle Road as it stretches east to Dirksen Parkway. The first stage of the project includes water main replacement, power pole relocation and other miscellaneous utility adjustments. The work is expected to last into April. The second stage is set to begin in July. It includes pavement removal, earth excavation, storm sewer installation, gravel placement, concrete pavement construction and curb and gutter construction. The final stage of the project will begin in the spring of 2026. During this stage, all driveway construction, sidewalk construction, multi-use path construction, seeding and other miscellaneous work will be completed by June 2026. Access to Middle Road, Morris Lane, West Fairview Road and Charleston Road will be maintained at all times. Motorists are asked to watch for flaggers and to use caution in the work zone.
