Type A Cleaning and Televising of approximately 38,489 linear feet of eight-inch (8") through forty-two-inch (42") diameter sanitary sewer; televising of approximately 14,137 linear feet of eight-inch (8") through twelve-inch (12") diameter sanitary sewer; Type C Root Removal of approximately 850 linear feet of eight-inch (8") through twenty-four-inch (24") diameter sanitary sewer; Cutting of any Protruding Taps; and other miscellaneous associated work. Each proposal shall be electronically accompanied by a scanned copy of the bid bond or a scanned copy of a cashier's or certified check drawn on an Iowa bank or a bank chartered under the laws of the United States in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid. If a bid bond is submitted, it must be on the form provided with the contract documents. A physical copy of the bid security will be required to be submitted to the City Clerk's Office by the apparent low bidder within 48 hours of the bid deadline. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a performance and payment bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price guaranteeing faithful performance of the contract and guaranteeing payment to all persons supplying labor and/or materials in the execution of the work provided for in the contract. Work on said project shall commence within ten (10) days of a written notice to proceed and shall be completed by April 25, 2025. Liquidated damages in the amount of two hundred fifty dollars ($250.00) per day will be assessed for each day that the work remains uncompleted after the end of the contract period.
