PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Yong Lab is an approximately 1,500 SF Laser Lab within the basement of Urey Hall. Project requirements include the complete renovation of an existing space, including install of new Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing systems to include new Air Handler, Condensing Unit, exhaust fans and humidifier equipment. Project will require strict environmental controls, including humidity control of less than 45% and temperature control of 70oF +/-1.7oF. Other lab requirements include dry air, N2, Chilled Water and 208V Electrical service. Project Construction Duration: 160 working days Overall, the University seeks contractors with demonstrated experience in additions and renovations to commercial or institutional research laboratory areas which remain fully occupied and operational. Specific experience requirements include: work with limited staging area, installation of Doors, Frames & Hardware within an existing fully functional, occupied and congested building, renovations/upgrades to existing outdated space, work complete within an accelerated construction schedule.
