New Braunfels Utilities ("NBU") invites the submittal of responses to this Request for Proposals ("RFP") from qualified firms interested in providing construction services in connection with the construction of Sewer Infrastructure Package #2 Phase 2 (the "Project"). The Project has been designed by Pawelek & Moy, Inc. The Project is anticipated to include some or all of the following items within its scope: (i) construction of approximately 1,250 linear feet ("LF") of 8-inch and 600 linear feet ("LF") of 15" gravity main by open cut construction, (ii) construction of approximately 275 LF of 8-inch gravity main by jack or bore construction with 24" steel casing, (iii) construction of new manholes, (iv) abandonment and grout filling of existing sanitary sewer mains and associated manholes, (v) connections to the NBU sanitary sewer system, (vi) sewer bypass pumping for construction, (vii) traffic control, (viii) storm water Location: The Project is broken into two project sites, the first (referred to as Site 3) is located off of old FM 306 near the intersection of Old FM 306 and Sundance Parkway and the second (referred to as Site 4) is located in the parking lot off Elizabeth Ave, Landa Park golf course and the Landa Park Aquatic Complex, all sites are within New Braunfels Utilities service area. NBU has established a target commencement date for construction activities of the Project as March 15, 2025. The projected completion date is estimated to be two hundred and forty (240) calendar days from the Notice to Proceed date. NBU reserves the right to phase the construction of the Project or modify the schedule as needed and determined by the NBU Board or staff due to modifications in scope. Each proposal must be accompanied by an approved Bid Bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the proposal cost, payable to NBU without recourse, as a guarantee respondent will enter into a contract at the stated price. The successful respondent must execute 100% performance and payment bonds on the forms provided, within ten (10) days after the contract has been awarded. The Board of Trustees of NBU reserves the right to reject any or all of the proposals, to waive formalities, and to make an award to an Offeror in the order of ranking as outlined in this RFP and that the Board of Trustees determines will be the best value to NBU.
