The Maine Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry is conducting a competitive bid process for the Lake Saint George State Park Utility Upgrades Project, in Liberty, Maine. Questions and comments on the bid opening process shall be addressed to: Division of Planning, Design & Construction, Bureau of General Services, 77 State House Station, Augusta, Maine 04333- 0077, BGS.Architect@Maine.gov. The Work shall generally consist of facilities and utilities upgrades at Lake Saint George State Park in Liberty, Maine. The Work shall be categorized by the Base Bid and Bid Alternates. The Base Bid shall include re-roofing the existing barn, upgrading electrical utilities to the existing residence and barn structures, and rehabilitiating the existing potable water well. Alternate bid items shall include Bid Alternate #1: Construction of a new potable water well and installation of a new water main to the existing day-use bath house, Bid Alternate #2: Installation of a new generator for the existing residence, Bid Alternate #3: Mechanical and site electrical upgrades to the existing campground bath house, Bid Alternate #4: Mechanical upgrades to the existing day-use bath house, Bid Alternate #5: Installation of new water distribution mains with necessary valves and appurtenances, installation of new conduit for fiber data service, and installation of new electrical utility infrastructure to each campsite within the campground, Bid Alternate #6: Paving the existing upper day-use parking lot, and Bid Alternate #7: Installing heat pumps within the existing residence and barn.
