The State of Colorado, Institution of Colorado State University (CSU), is soliciting information from Lighting Contractors and other firms regarding the replacement of fluorescent lamp fixtures on the Fort Collins area campuses of Colorado State University. With the impending phase out of fluorescent lamps in Colorado in accordance with adopted legislation HB23-1161, CSU is looking for a partner to inventory and replace the remaining fluorescent fixtures on campus with LED fixtures. In addition, we are seeking a partner that can help finance this retrofit to be repaid over time with energy savings. While CSU has made significant progress in the conversion to LED fixtures, there are still many fluorescent fixtures yet to replace. CSU Facilities Management estimates as many as 5 million GSF of building spaces with fluorescent light fixtures (based on 60,000 replacement lamps bought in the previous 12 months). CSU is looking for a partner that can deliver a turnkey project by conducting an inventory, installing new LED fixtures, helping pursue all available utility rebates and finance the remaining costs.
