Dock and Seawall Repairs at Alabama Point Scope of Work: The work shall generally consist of installing approximately 120 feet of steel sheet piles, 120 linear feet of 6-foot-wide wooden dock, two 40-foot finger piers and associated concrete slabs behind the docks and seawall, and other related work. The Contractor shall observe and comply with all federal, state, and municipal laws, ordinances, rules, and regulations applicable to this project. Sealed bids must be submitted on proposal forms obtained from the office of the Chief of Engineering Services and must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the contract bid price, but not to exceed Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000). An executed copy of the Disclosure Statement required by Act 2001-955 (Article 3B of Title 41, Code of Alabama 1975) must be included with the bid proposal at bid opening. A performance bond in the penalty amount of 100% of the contract price, a payment bond not less than 50% of the contract price, proof of general liability insurance, E-Verify MOU, and other documents will be required of the successful bidder. ATTENTION: For bids in excess of $50,000, Contractor must be licensed as a General Contractor, Classification Marine Construction or other classification that covers the work being performed and must submit a copy of their license. Prequalification is not required. Evaluation/Award: A contract shall be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. ADCNR/MRD reserves the right to compare specific items, at its discretion, to determine the most cost-efficient and responsible bidder. It is anticipated the award will be made within thirty (30) days of the bid opening.
