The Project will consist of extending an existing 12' wide turn lane from South Fulton Parkway along the east side of Hunter Road with a 2' grass strip and 5' sidewalk that will end at the rightof-way of SR14 South Fulton Parkway. Mason Road will also be resurfaced from the GDOT right of way at the intersection with South Fulton Parkway to the city limits. The Contractor will provide: A Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) for the total Project cost (the "Contract Price"); and Performance, Payment and Bid Bonds. The Contractor shall furnish a Performance Bond in an amount at least equal to the Contract Price and a Payment Bond in an amount at least equal to 110 percent of the Contract Price, as security. The Contractor is required to submit a Bid Bond of 5% along with bid submittal. The City will pay the Contractor on a monthly basis, based on timely invoicing. Detailed reports should accompany each monthly invoice. The term of the Contract for the Project will be a period of two hundred seventy (270) calendar days. The Contract shall specify conditions under which the Contract may be terminated by either party prior to the end of the term specified in this Section of the RFB. Such early termination shall proceed by appropriate notice and communications such that the Contractor has the ability to take corrective actions to remedy the breach before any such early termination is made final.
