The scope of this project includes, but is not limited to, the following: site work and new construction of a transportation facility. As of October 16, 2024, a construction manager has been selected for this project. A firm construction timeline for this project has not yet been released. Gary Chicago International Airport Authority, (hereinafter referred to as the Owner ), is requesting sealed bids for the following. Project: 39K Hangar. Owner: Gary/Chicago International Airport Authority, 6001 Airport Road, Gary, IN 46406. A bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) must accompany each bid in accordance with the instructions to bidders. Bid security shall be a certified check or bid bond. All checks and bid bonds shall be made payable to the Gary/Chicago International Airport Authority. Bids may be held for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days before awarding contracts. Bids shall be properly and completely executed on the bid form provided in the bidding documents. The successful bidder shall furnish performance and payment bonds for 100% of their contract amount before execution of contracts. Bonds shall be maintained in accordance with I.C. 36-1-12-12 and I.C. 36-1-12-14. Any questions affecting the preparation of your bid should be directed to the Construction Manager.
