Site work for a civil project in Tignish, Prince Edward Island. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and road / highway.
The scope of this work includes, but is not necessarily limited to the following: the supply of all labour, equipment, and materials necessary to completely replace the existing bridge structure with a new bridge structure. The work on this project shall consist of but not limited to: excavation; slope protection; environmental controls; demolition and removal of existing structure; steel piles; concrete formwork and accessories; concrete reinforcement; cast-in-place concrete; new timber structure; structural steel barrier; rip rap; gabion baskets; road work; and all other ancillaries required to completely install the structure to the satisfaction of the Owner. Note that construction must start on site no later than 8 January 2025. The bridge/roadway (entire width) complete with temporary concrete barriers must be opened to traffic no later than 15 March 2025, with no interruption to traffic after this date. Spring 2025 work shall be completed no later than 27 June 2025, with maximum duration two (2) weeks from startup to completion. A bid bond equal to or greater than the amount stipulated in schedule a - schedule of special provisions. The bond shall be from a surety company authorized to carry on business in canada guaranteeing to supply a performance bond equal to 50% of the contract value, excluding hst and a labour and material bond equal to 25% of the contract value, excluding hst.
