The Contract consists of pulverizing and recycling the existing pavement, and mixing it with the existing pavement base to a minimum depth of 12 inches. Paving work will include regrading and rolling the recycled material and applying two courses of bituminous concrete [2" Class 1 and 1 1/2 " Class 2], installation of new curbing, paved drainage leak-offs and pavement markings and all other work as shown on the project plans. This project also includes the removal and replacement of the Town Hall front entry concrete steps and ramps. The selected Contractor must obtain bonding, insurance and sign a contract within five (5) days of receipt of notice of award. The bidder must agree to commence work on or before a date to be specified in a written "Notice to Proceed" of the Municipality and to fully complete the project on or before 30 consecutive calendar days thereafter. The bidder must agree also to pay as liquidated damages, the sum of $1,000.00 for each consecutive calendar day thereafter.
