The Town of Hilton Head Island is soliciting responses from qualified firms to provide eradication and installation of crosswalk pavement marking. Question Deadline 11/19/2024 at 5:00 PM ET Questions should be submitted through the Town's Procurement Portal using the "Ask a question" button. Eradication and installation of crosswalk pavement markings at intersections along William Hilton Parkway from Squire Pope Road to Sea Pines Circle and along Palmetto Bay Road from the Cross Island Bridge to Sea Pines Circle. Contractor shall perform pavement marking and pavement marking removal, on pavement infrastructure within the limits of the Town of Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. Contractor shall provide pavement markings on pavement infrastructure. The Contractor shall be able to perform pavement marking and pavement marking removal activities as set forth in the plans and specifications. The work may take place within State, County, or Town road rights-of-way, easements, properties, or within specific areas delineated by a Right of Entry. This may also include work in such areas as planned unit developments, and on government, commercial, or residential properties. The Contractor shall provide a Designated Representative (i.e., Contract Project Manager) and the ability to work on multiple pavement marking projects simultaneously. The Contractor must perform a majority of the work under this Contract; subcontractors may not perform more than 50% of the total annual work contracted dollar amount. Please refer to the Town's Good Faith Effort Program for Small and Minority Business Participation (Exhibit E) for requirements that must be met if subcontractors are utilized. Prior to commencement of work, the Contractor and any associated subcontractors will be required to obtain a Town of Hilton Head Island business license to operate within Town limits. Proposers shall be licensed to perform the work described herein as required by Section 10-1-10 et seq., Code of the Town of Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, 1983 (as amended). The requirements of The Code of Laws Of South Carolina, "An Act To Regulate The Practice Of General And Mechanical Contracting In South Carolina (1997)", Chapter 11, Title 40, Section 40-11-S through Section 40-11-430 and The Rules And Regulations Of The South Carolina Licensing Board For Contractors, Chapter 29, Articles 1, 2, 3, 4, 29-1 through 29-19, will be strictly enforced. All Contractors and Subcontractors must be properly licensed in the Group, Classification, and/or Sub Classification as required by the South Carolina Licensing Board for Contractors. Proposals will not be accepted from improperly licensed or unlicensed Contractors and/or Subcontractors. PERMITS: Town, State and Federal permits may apply to the work and will be obtained by the Town of Hilton Head Island and made part of the Job Order to which it pertains. Project has been cancelled
