The proposed work generally includes: cleaning and CCTV inspection of approximately 16,000 linear feet of 8" VCP sewer line and approximately 81 manholes; a comprehensive report identifying location, type and extent of damage to the surveyed pipe; repair/rehabilitation of the sewer system based, in part, on the recommendations in the report, including, but not limited to CIPP, lateral sealing, end seals at manholes, lateral grouting, joint grouting, dig and point repairs; Wage rates paid on construction work for this project shall be at least equal to the prevailing wage rates as specified in the contract documents and specifications. State wage rates are applicable. No bidder may withdraw his bid within 90 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. Question Deadline 11/01/2024 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Contract Documents shall be submitted to ENGINEER in writing Proposals must be on forms provided and all unit price bids, extensions and total provided thereon shall be completed fully. Each separate bid must be accompanied by certified check or bank cashier's check payable to the Owner, or a Bid Bond, duly executed by the bidder as principal and having as surety thereon a surety company meeting the requirements as referenced in the Instructions to Bidders in the amount of 5% of the bid. The bidder to whom a contract is awarded will be required to furnish a performance bond and a payment bond on the forms provided, payable to the City of Weaubleau, and in the amount of 100 percent of the contract price in conformity with the requirements of the General Conditions. Bidders are informed that all contractors are subject to full compliance with all applicable laws, ordinances, rules and regulations, and the requirements of the Equal Opportunity Act and it is not the intent of the owner to arbitrarily dismiss any authorities. The City of Weaubleau hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement minority business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, religion, creed, sex, age, ancestry or national origin in consideration for an award.
