Request for Proposal (RFP) Competitive Contracting Vending Machine Services - Concession The Township of Montclair is requesting proposals from qualified vendors to provide the above-mentioned goods and services in accordance with the specifications or Township approved equivalent. The Township of Montclair reserves the right to consider proposals for sixty (60) days after their receipt and reserved the right to waive any informalities, to accept a proposal which is deemed most favorable to the interest of the Township in accordance with the specifications and current New jersey state and federal regulations. Vendors are required to comply, where applicable, with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq., N.J.A.C. 17:27-1 et seq., New Jersey Statutes Title 19 Fair and Open Process, and all other applicable laws. *The list of planholders and/or interested bidders is not being tracked by the stakeholders involved with this project. The Contractor shall inspect the condition of the customer's existing service piping and shut-off valve at each location prior to attempting to replace the meter. The Township shall be notified of any existing conditions such as leaks, deterioration, or old piping. The Township will verify the situation and provide direction. The presence of old piping, leaks or deterioration shall not prevent the meter from being replaced. If the shut-off valve is not capable of positively closing, the Contractor shall contact the Township to operate the curb stop. The Contractor shall then remove the existing water meter, old remote reading device and all old connecting wire. The Contractor shall take special care to ensure the safety of the installers, the homes and residents with respect to grounding electrical facilities to the water service line. The Township Water Utility will locate and operate curb boxes prior to the beginning of the project. The Township Water Utility will assist the contractor in emergency situations by responding within 30 minutes of the reported emergency for a turn-off. An electrical by-pass (e.g., automobile jumper cables) shall be in place while work is in progress. Any electrical ground shall be reconnected if it is disturbed. No condition shall be created that causes a hazard to any person or property during the installation or afterwards. All replacement work shall be in accordance with all electrical codes or method approved by Township
