The work will be done under one prime contract that includes: General, Mechanical, Plumbing and Electrical construction. B. The following summary is a general guide to the scope of work. It should not be construed as a detailed list of work included in the contract. 1. Replace existing boiler plant with a new high efficiency condensing boiler plant and variable speed pumping system. 2. Replace existing hot water heating system distribution piping along with pumps, expansion tanks and other ancillary pieces of equipment within the system. 3. Replace the existing cooling system. 4. Replace hot water heating coils in the existing air handlers to accommodate lower water supply temperatures from the condensing boiler plant. 5. Replace the existing VAV terminal units with hot water reheat coils. 6. Provide duct cleaning of all existing supply, exhaust and return air system duct work. Provide new duct work where needed to accommodate new systems. 7. Install new grilles, registers and diffusers associated with facility's air distribution system. 8. Install a Direct Digital Controls (DDC) system for the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. Johnson Controls, Inc. (JCI) must be included as sub for the design of the mechanical system and DDC.
