Site work for a civil project in Sidney, New York. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The Project includes all labor, tools, and equipment necessary and consists of Contract No. 5A - General Construction Construct a 40' x 62' wood framed water treatment plant building on cast-in-place concrete foundation with various interior rooms and below grade pipe receiving pits and below grade clearwell; furnish and install treatment process equipment, including dual cartridge filter trains, chemical feed equipment, process piping and valves, distribution pumps, laboratory casework and equipment, and general and miscellaneous equipment; provide all site work, including site piping, general grading and excavation, structural excavation and backfill, subsurface drainage, on-site sanitary disposal system, paved driveway and parking area; provide new pitless units, submersible well pumps, riser pipe and other miscellaneous work on two (2) existing test production wells; install well level control and monitoring equipment; provide well flushing and development testing; terminate all existing observation wells and one (1) unused production well; and provide remote tank level control and monitoring equipment in existing tank vault at remote tank site. Work also includes all necessary site preparation, clearing, grubbing, ditching, erosion and sediment control, and restoration. The work of Contract No. 5A may also include deduct alternates for paving, floor painting, contact main pipe materials, and reinforcing for interior slabs and exterior aprons. Contract No. 5B - Electrical Furnish and install all water treatment plant electrical and Water System Integrated control systems and accessories, includes underground electrical service, motor control wiring, power distribution systems, lighting system, process control wiring, HVAC wiring, auto-transfer switch and emergency generator, and miscellaneous control wiring; provide all well pumps power distribution systems and well control wiring; provide all tank site electrical systems for power distribution systems, remote telemetry and control panels and control wiring; Work also includes all necessary trenching and backfilling, and restoration at the Water Tank site. The work of Contract 5B may also include deductive alternate 5B.1 for a substitute Control System Integrator. Contract No. 5C - HVAC Construct the treatment plant HVAC system, including all, unit heaters, fans, louvers, dampers, and miscellaneous equipment and incidental work and wiring incidental for a complete installation. Includes liquid propane service coordination and interior liquid propane gas piping. Contract No. 5D - Plumbing Furnish and install all water treatment plant domestic plumbing, including service meters, backflow prevention devices and pressure reducers; all cold and hot water piping; all sanitary drain and floor drain systems, emergency shower and eyewash stations; plumbing fixtures; laboratory plumbing; water quality monitoring plumbing connections and all miscellaneous equipment and incidental work for a complete installation. Minority-Women's Business Enterprise (MWBE) and Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Business (SDVOB) participation is required as part of the funding requirements for this project. All questions about the bid shall be directed to Jason Preisner, P.E. of Lamont Engineers in writing at jpreisner@lamontengineers.com. ***Document Note: Bidding documents may also be examined at the Village of Sidney Municipal Offices located at 21 Liberty Street, Sidney, New York 13838, Monday through Friday between 9 00 AM and 4 00 PM. Hard Copies of the Contract Documents may be obtained from the Issuing Office, Lamont Engineers, P.C. located at 197 Elm Street, Cobleskill, New York upon payment of $50 deposit for each set. A full deposit refund for the returned set will be made provided that the complete set of Bidding and Contract Documents (Drawings and Project Manual) is returned to Lamont Engineers, postage paid and in good condition within 30 days after Bid Opening. Deposits for any sets returned after the 30-day period are non-refundable. Additional sets of Bidding and Contract Documents may be obtained upon payment of a $25.00 deposit for each set. Deposits for additional sets will be returned less the actual cost of reproduction if the complete sets are returned in good condition within the 30-day period. Requests for delivered sets of Bidding and Contract Documents will be honored overnight via Federal Express with charges billed to bidder's Federal Express account, or upon receipt of a non-refundable fee of $35.00 per set for handling and delivery. Digital (PDF) copies of the bidding documents can be obtained from the issuing office upon request. Prospective bidders who obtain electronic bid documents from locations other than the issuing office are responsible to contact Lamont Engineers, P.C. to register their contact information on the bid documents distribution list for the purposes of receiving bidding addenda and other bidding information.
