The funding source for this project is WATER REVENUE. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, insurance, equipment, materials and power for the complete performance of the following project, St. Joe Dam Bar Rack Improvements as follows: Question Deadline 03/01/2025 Project includes the installation of replacement bar racks and bar cleaning system at the St. Joe Dam. During installation, minor concrete repairs and handrail improvements shall be made. all in accordance with the Bidding Documents as prepared by the City Utilities Engineering Department, City of Fort Wayne, Indiana. No Bid will be accepted from, or contract awarded to any person, firm, or corporation that is in arrears to the City of Fort Wayne, Indiana, upon any debt or contract, or, who has failed to execute, in whole or in part in a satisfactory manner, any contract with the City; or, who is a defaulter as to surety or otherwise, upon any obligation to the City, or is engaged in litigation with the City. No Bid may be withdrawn for at least 60 days after the scheduled time for receipt of Bids so as to allow review of Bids before announcing award of Contract. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a satisfactory Labor and Material Payment Bond and Performance Bond each in the amount no less than one hundred (100%) percent of the contract price. The Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids for failure to comply with applicable laws and/or with the Instructions to Bidders. The Board also reserves the right to waive any defect in any bid. The Work to be performed under this Contract includes, but is not limited to the items listed below and all related appurtenances. 1. Replace trash barscreens at the three raw water intakes at the City of Fort Wayne St. Joe Dam and install bubble curtain system. 2. Work includes: demolition and replacement of existing trash bar screens, saw cut concrete, new concrete, grating system, rotary screw blower, piping, valves, miscellaneous metals, electrical, conduit, wiring, and related equipment. 3. The work shall be performed in such a sequence that minimal interruption to the existing systems will be necessary. Questions received less than ten (10) days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered.
