All bids must be hand delivered to the Facilities Office, noted above, at which time they will be time stamped. Bids left at the reception desk of the District s Main Office or delivered anywhere other than the Facilities Office shall be considered undelivered. Trade Contractor bids shall be submitted in a sealed envelope, identifying the Project Total broken down by each contract site. Any bid received after the time indicated will be returned unopened. East Whittier City SD reserves the right to postpone the date and time for submission of Bid. The successful bidder shall commence work with the issuance of the Notice to Proceed and complete all work within the time period and milestones from the official start date as illustrated in the Bidding Documents. The East Whittier City SD has established a liquidated damage rate of $2,000 per calendar day for each and every calendar day that the work remains uncompleted or unaccepted by the District. Bid must conform to the requirements of the Contract Documents. These documents will be accessible to the contractors on January 24, 2025. The DISTRICT reserves the right to reject any and all proposals or to waive any irregularities or informalities in any proposal or in the Bidding process. No Bidder may withdraw any bid for a period of five (5) days after the date set for the opening of bids. Failure to abide with this requirement will result in the offending proposer s proposal either being disqualified or terminated if discovered after receiving Board approval.
