Replacement of Windows and Siding and Potentially Doors at the Rotary Reserve Lodge Located at 5932 N. Union Road, Cedar Falls, IA 50613. Bid security shall be returned to bidders who were not awarded the contract, upon signing of the contract. Black Hawk County Conservation is seeking to replace the windows and siding on the Rotary Reserve Lodge in Cedar Falls. The Rotary Reserve Lodge is a facility open to public rentals for events such as meetings, receptions, showers, and most frequently, weddings. Thus, this work will be scheduled during the "off season" and the calendar has been blocked for all reservations from December 2, 2024, through and March 31, 2025, with exception of News Years Eve and New Years Day. Work shall not begin before December 2, 2024, and must be completed by or before March 31, 2025. Bidders are responsible for taking any and all measurements necessary to calculate material quantities and calculating bid prices to properly bid this project. This may be done at the scheduled Pre-Bid Meeting or bidders may choose to set up a separate site visit to conduct necessary measuring. Site visits may be scheduled with Stan or Wade at the contract phone numbers listed above. All replacement windows must meet the following MINIMUM specifications: o Vinyl Construction o Double Pane o Insulated, LowE glass with Argon o Fully Welded Sash and Frame o NFRC Rated, and ENERGY STAR approved o Color: Wood Grain interior to closely match existing interior woodwork; exterior color to be chosen from awarded contractors color options as color options vary between manufacturers. Exterior window color is expected to closely match the siding trim color chosen. o Windows must be covered by a minimum 10-year warranty; include warranty information with bid submittal. Upon signing the contract, a Performance Bond in the amount equal to 100% of the contract amount shall be required and submitted before work commences. The Performance Bond shall be in effect until the contract has been satisfied and accepted by the President of the Black Hawk County Conservation Board. The project and term of contract shall commence immediately following signing of the contract with the physical work not beginning before December 2, 2024, and must be completed on or before March 31, 2025.
