PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This project provides for horizontal curves roadway safety improvements in Centralia Washington at various locations through the installation of guardrail, roadway delineators, curve signage and other work, all in accordance with the attached Contract Plans, these Contract Provisions, and the Standard Specifications. The City of Centralia hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, sex, or national origin in consideration for an award. The City of Centralia encourages contracting procedures that provide M/WBEs equal opportunity to participate as subcontractor on City contracts. There is no Condition of Award DBE goal on this project. All bids must be submitted on the forms furnished for that purpose, and each proposal must be accompanied by cash, bid bond, or certified check made payable to the City of Centralia, in an amount of not less than five (5) percent of the total bid. The bid shall be labeled Systemic Horizontal Curves Safety Improvements on the envelope. The City of Centralia reserves the right to reject any and all bids or waive irregularities in the bid or bidding.
