Construction of a new cross-river connection allowing the heavy transport of goods and merchandise on the territory of the Communauté Métropolitaine de Québec between the north and south shores of the St. Lawrence River. Given that the type of infrastructure to be built to cross the St. Lawrence River is not yet known. Alll the fields that may be involved, in all the phases of the new cross-river connection project, in particular : Bridge crossing a major watercourse with a strong current; Tunnel (large-scale, bored by tunnel boring machine) and various underground structures; Construction work in highly confined urban areas; Operating equipment (ventilation, safety, electricity, etc.); Intelligent transport system; Telecommunications. The project value is estimated to be as high as $3B. TIMELINE: The call for expression of interest issued by the Ministère des Transports et de la Mobilité durable (MTMD) du Quebec has closed. The international companies willing to participate in the construction program have expressed their interest. Further project development will be followed in the main project report published under CRM ID name The Third Link Between The Cities of Quebec and Levis.
