Site work and paving for a civil project in Quebec, Quebec. Conceptual plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and bridge / tunnel.
Construction of a new cross-river connection allowing the heavy transport of goods and merchandise on the territory of the Communauté Métropolitaine de Québec between the north and south shores of the St. Lawrence River. Given that the type of infrastructure to be built to cross the St. Lawrence River is not yet known. Alll the fields that may be involved, in all the phases of the new cross-river connection project, in particular : Bridge crossing a major watercourse with a strong current; Tunnel (large-scale, bored by tunnel boring machine) and various underground structures; Construction work in highly confined urban areas; Operating equipment (ventilation, safety, electricity, etc.); Intelligent transport system; Telecommunications. TIMELINE: The Ministère des Transports et de la Mobilité durable (MTMD) is calling on international companies to express their interest and present their expertise in regards to the project and to assess the current state of the market, its vision and its concerns. Reference number: 20023650. Electronic tender submission accepted: No. The scope of work will be finalized by late 2025. A call for prequalification for general contractors is anticipated in early 2026. A call for invited general contractor is anticipated in mid-2026. Construction is expected to start in early 2027.
