The Project generally consists of but is not necessarily limited to the following major items: Schedule 1 (EDA Funded) o Extension of approximately 510 linear feet of new 12-inch PVC water main, gate valves, fire hydrants, and associated appurtenances in North Frontage Road from the west side of Johnson Lane to Firth Street. o Extension of approximately 485 linear feet of new 12-inch PVC water main, gate valves, fire hydrant, and associated appurtenances in Firth Street north of North Frontage Road. o Extension of approximately 870 linear feet of new 12-inch PVC water main, gate valves, and associated appurtenances across I-90 from North Frontage Road to Cole Street. o Jack and bore of 225 linear feet of 24-inch steel casing for 12-inch water main crossing at Johnson Lane. o Jack and bore of 640 linear feet of 24-inch steel casing for 12-inch water main crossing at I-90. Schedule 2 (EDA Funded) o Extension of approximately 1,165 linear feet of new 10-inch PVC water main, gate valves, fire hydrants, and associated appurtenances in North Frontage Road east of Firth Street. Schedule 3 (Non-EDA Funded) o Extension of approximately 645 linear feet of new 10-inch PVC water main, gate valves, and associated appurtenances between Johnson Lane and Unertal Avenue. Schedule 4 (EDA Funded) o Jack and bore of 650 linear feet of 42-inch steel casing for (3) 12-inch internal casings and (3) 6-inch sewer force mains at the I-90 crossing. o Extension of approximately 260 linear feet of new (3) 6-inch PVC sewer force mains and associated appurtenances in a combined trench north and south of the I-90 crossing. o Extension of approximately 150 linear feet of new 6-inch PVC sewer force main and associated appurtenances from the south side of the North Frontage Road to the connection to the existing 6-inch sewer force main in Firth Street. o Replacement of existing 8-inch gravity sewer main in Cole Street with approximately 440 linear feet of new 12-inch gravity sewer main, concrete manholes with lining, sewer service reconnections, connection to the existing sewer manhole in Old Hardin Road, and associated appurtenances. Schedule 5 (EDA Funded) o Extension of approximately 515 linear feet of new (2) 6-inch PVC sewer force mains and associated appurtenances in a combined trench in Firth Street north of North Frontage Road. Contractor(s) and any of the Contractor's subcontractors bidding on this project will be required to obtain registration with the Montana Department of Labor and Industry (DLI). Forms for registration are available from the Department of Labor and Industry, P.O. Box 8011, 1805 Prospect, Helena, Montana 59604-8011. Contractors are required to have registered with the DLI prior to bidding on this project. All laborers and mechanics employed by Contractor(s) or subcontractors in performance of the construction work shall be paid wages at rates as may be required by the laws of the United States and the State of Montana in accordance with the schedule of DavisBacon prevailing wage rates established by the United States Department of Labor and State of MT Prevailing Wages, which are included in the Project Manual. The Contractor and all subcontractors shall pay for all labor employed at no less than the minimum standard prevailing rate of wages for each classification, which shall be the higher of either the Montana Prevailing Wage Rates or the Federal Davis-Bacon Prevailing Wage Rates, as appended. The Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex or national origin. Each bid or proposal must be accompanied by a Certified Check, Cashier's Check, or Bid Bond payable to the Lockwood Water and Sewer District, in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid. Successful Bidders shall furnish an approved Construction Performance Bond and a Construction (Labor and Materials) Payment Bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. Insurance as required shall be provided by the successful Bidder(s) and a certificate(s) of that insurance shall be provided. No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled time for the public opening of the Bids specified above. The right is reserved to reject any or all Proposals received, to waive informalities, to postpone the award of the contract for a period of not to exceed sixty (60) days, and to accept the lowest responsive and responsible bid which is in the best interest of the Lockwood Water and Sewer District.
