Site work for a civil project in Coaldale, Alberta. Conceptual plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The Town of Coaldale, along with collaboration with its regional partners, SMRID and Lethbridge County, have reviewed and formulated a strategic plan to address drainage issues within the Malloy drainage basin. The South Coaldale Regional Stormwater Management Facility (SWMF) is a portion of the Malloy 2B project, which entails constructing a SWMF south of the existing Cottonwood SWMF. Scope of work includes construction of approx. 100,000m3 capacity stormwater management facility. Construction of the conveyance component of the Malloy 2B project, namely a 1200mm diameter gravity pipeline, which will connect the Cottonwood SWMF and the proposed South Coaldale Regional SWMF to the repurposed Coaldale Reservoirs is under construction with an anticipated completion date of March 31, 2025. TIMELINE: Request for Proposals for detailed design and construction administration services is currently underway. Construction is planned for spring/summer 2025. Further update pending award of contract.
