The Department of Environmental Services of the City and County of Honolulu (City) is conducting a Request for Proposals to select a Contractor, who shall recover landfill gas (LFG) produced by the Citys Waimanalo Gulch Sanitary Landfill (WGSL) and transfer the LFG for the Contractors own use while providing compensation per unit of LFG to the City for the LFG transferred. The Offeror may propose any technology, equipment or facility to process the LFG which shall be designed, built, operated, and maintained by the Contractor. The City has identified an area within the grounds of the WSGL for the installation of any equipment or facilities required to transfer and process the LFG. The identified area is approximately 8,500 square feet and is located near the entrance of WGSL. HRS, relating to the licensing of Contractors, including but not limited to Class A General Engineering Contractor License Class B General Building Contractor Class C Specialty Contracting Bid security is required. The Offeror shall submit with its offer a bid security in accordance with the Chapter 2.11 Bid Security of the General Instructions or an amount not less than TWENTY-FIVE THOUSAND AND NO/100 DOLLARS ($25,000.00), whichever is greater.
