2024 Citywide Striping If this solicitation is federally funded, prospective bidder/respondent must pay particular attention to all applicable laws and regulations of the Federal government and the State of Louisiana. Purchasing related inquires, a bidder shall submit its question in writing to the appropriate point of contact no later than seven (7) business days prior to the Bid Deadline The Bureau of Purchasing uses commodity codes to notify suppliers of the release of a sourcing event and subsequent modifications via addendum. Note that you would receive those notifications if you selected the following commodity code(s) before the release of the sourcing event The City of New Orleans strongly encourages minority-owned and women-owned businesses, socially and economically disadvantaged businesses and small businesses to respond to this solicitation, or to participate in subcontracting opportunities pursuant to this solicitation. SCOPE OF WORK The work shall consist of furnishing and installing Thermoplastic Pavement Markings and Raised Pavement Markers at locations within the City of New Orleans in conformance with the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD). TP-2 WORK ORDERS, RESPONSE TIME AND LIQUIDATED DAMAGES The Department of Public Works shall issue a written work order to the contractor. This work order shall list the locations where pavement markings are needed, along with the type of markings needed and the number of days allowed to complete each job. Upon receipt of a written work order, the Contractor shall have twentyone (21) calendar days to begin the work. Failure to start the work in this time frame will cause the Contractor to pay the City $300.00 in damages for the delay for each day after the twenty-first calendar day until the work is begun. Failure to complete the work in the specified time frame, which begins on the sooner of the following: the twenty-first calendar day or the day the first location on the work order is begun, will result in the Contractor paying the City $300.00 per day in damages for the delay until the work is complete. The contractor shall notify the Traffic Engineering Division at least twenty-four (24) hours in advance of laying striping and the Traffic Engineering Division will furnish someone to coordinate the operation. The contractor will supervise the actual installation of the striping
