Project Description The work to be performed by the Consultant consists of the City of Redmond soliciting interest from consulting firms under this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for design services for the construction of the 156th Avenue NE Shared Use Path, generally located from the 4300 Block of 156th Ave to NE 51st Street. The successful consultant/team will prepare design reports, permits, plans, specifications, and estimates. This agreement will be for approximately 23 MONTHS in duration, starting in February 2025 and ending in December 2026, with the option for the City of Redmond to extend it for additional time and money if necessary. This project has a 19% DBE goal. The major features of the project are as follows: o 12-foot wide shared use path adjacent to a 5-foot wide planter strip o Retaining walls to support the path o Pedestrian signal and push button upgrades o Illumination system improvements The City of Redmond reserves the right to retain the services of the successful firm(s) for any subsequent phases (right of way, construction services, etc.) associated with this project. Evaluation Criteria Submittals will be evaluated and ranked based on the following criteria: 1) Project Understanding 2) Design Team Qualifications 3) Proposed Project Approach 4) Relevant Project Experience and References 5) Familiarity with WSDOT/FHWA standards 6) Approach to meet the DBE goal or SBE goal Submittal Submittals should include the following information: Firm name, phone, and fax numbers; Name of Principal-in-Charge and Project Manager; and Number of employees in each firm proposed to project.
