ESTIMATED COST: $928,194.30 SBE/ Goods & Service: 1.0% LICENSE REQUIREMENT: Pipelines Engineering Contractor; Pipelines; Underground Utility / Excavation; General Engineering SCOPE OF WORK: The Project, including mobilization and demobilization, consists of furnishing and installing approximately 2,100 linear feet of 8-inch zinc-coated ductile iron pipe and fittings for water main; 120 linear feet of 6-inch zinc-coated ductile iron pipe and fittings for water main; 20 linear feet of 4-inch zinc-coated ductile iron pipe and fittings for water main; five (5) resilient-seated gate valves; six (6) fire hydrant assemblies with guard posts; forty-one (41) 1-inch water services; ten (10) 2- inch water services; making two (2) connections to existing water mains; furnishing and constructing flushing valve outlet assemblies; furnishing and constructing air release valve assemblies for water mains; polyethylene encasement for ductile iron pipe and fittings; sheeting and shoring ordered left in place by the Engineer; additional suitable backfill, if needed; furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals required for cleaning, testing, and disinfecting the water mains; cutting, dewatering, grouting, plugging, and capping existing main(s) that are to be placed out of service; removal, salvage, cleaning, transport, unloading and storage of valve boxes and covers, manhole frames and covers, and castings, on existing mains that are to be placed out of service; removal of existing asphalt pavement, sidewalk and sod; removal, transport, and legal disposal of demolition material; traffic control; temporary and permanent replacement of any pavement, driveways, sidewalk, sod, landscaping and pavement markings damaged by the construction of the Project and all other appurtenant and miscellaneous items and work necessary for a complete, fully functional, and satisfactory installation.
