Site work and new construction of a fire / police facility in Altoona, Iowa. Completed plans call for the construction of a 22,000-square-foot fire / police facility; and for site work for a fire / police facility.
Project Square Footage: Approximately 18,000 – 22,000 SF. Project Scope: Complete build-out of new satellite fire station for fire department personnel that contains the following spaces but not limited to at this stage of design; four bay drive-thru fire apparatus, training room to second as an EOC, oHices, day room, kitchen, report spaces, fitness center, lockers, restrooms, laundry, equipment storage, decontamination room, 6 sleeping quarters, lieutenant suite, BC suite, IT server room housing city remote backup, and other support spaces. The building shell for the fire station will include a combination of aluminum curtain wall, metal panels and durable masonry veneer. Apparatus bay will utilize durable loadbearing materials such as precast concrete or concrete masonry unit. Exterior finishes on apparatus bay will be defined in more detail as the project progresses. The interior construction to use non-loadbearing metal stud framing with finishes to be defined in more detail as the project progresses. Preliminary Target Date for Substantial Completion September 2026 Services Required: CMaR services will include Pre-Construction Services and will continue through the Construction phase of the project. The scope of services will include assistance to the Owner during the process of Pre-Construction (Schematic Design, Design Development, and Construction Documents phases) and Construction. The AIA A133 - 2019 Standard Form of Agreement Between Owner and Construction Manager as Constructor will be used. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. Preliminary Estimated Cost of Construction Budget: $8,500,000 to $10,000,000.
