The Contractor shall excavate and dispose of the existing court and prepare the base for the new court to the limits shown on the plan. It is assumed that the existing base is unsuitable, but the subbase is suitable and can be graded, compacted and remain. The Contractor shall install no less than 6 inches of processed gravel as new gravel base material, and bituminous concrete surface as details in the Contract Drawings. Other work includes striping of the new basketball court and all surface restoration as required on the Contract Drawings. Desjardins Park Basketball Court Rehabilitation The Town may hold the bids for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days from the date of the bid opening to review the bids and investigate the bidders' qualifications prior to awarding the contract. A Bid must be accompanied by Bid security made payable to Owner in an amount of 5 percent of Bidder's maximum Bid price and in the form of a certified check, bank money order, or a Bid bond (on the form attached) issued by a surety meeting the requirements of Paragraphs 5.01 and 5.02 of the General Conditions The Town of Montville reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive any informalities or irregularities in the bid procedure or bids.
