Bid Number - 2024-19-ARP Award Will Be Made At The Next Regularly Scheduled Meeting Of The Madison County Commission. Contractor Is Responsible For Checking The Website For Any Posted Addenda. Contact Madison County Public Works With Questions Regarding The Bid, Telephone (256) 746- 2900. The deadline for questions is November 4, 2024, at 2:00 PM. County Reserves The Right To Accept Or Reject All Bids Or Any Portion Thereof. The Project Is Located At The Intersection Of Moores Mill Road And Countess Road In Madison County, Alabama, And It Generally Consists Of Widening Both Roadways And Installing A New Traffic Signal At The Intersection. The Scope Of Work To Be Performed Under This Contract Includes Demolition, Turn Lanes, Widening, Earthwork, Excavation, Compaction, Grading, Curb And Gutter, Slope Paving, Leveling, Storm Sewer Pipe, Storm Sewer Structures, Paving, Patching, Striping, Markings, Pavement Markers, Signing, Traffic Control, Erosion And Sediment Control, And Traffic Signal And Its Associated Appurtenances. This Bid Is Intended To Comply With Alabama Code Title 39 (Alabama Public Works Law) And Federal Provisions Of The American Rescue Plan Act (Arpa). All Bids Must Be Marked With The Word "bid" On The Outside Along With The Contractor's Name, Bid Number, Bid Opening Date, And Alabama General Contractor's License Number. The Contractor Shall Meet All Madison County Bonding And Licensing Requirements And Shall Comply With All Provisions Of The Beason-hammond Alabama Taxpayer And Citizen Protection Act, Commonly Referred To As The Immigration Act. Additionally, The Contractor Must Demonstrate Good Faith Efforts To Include Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (Dbes) And Comply With The Davis-bacon Act. The Project is located at the intersection of Moores Mill Road and Countess Road in Madison County, Alabama, and it generally consists of widening both roadways and installing a new traffic signal at the intersection. The Scope of Work to be performed under this Contract includes demolition, turn lanes, widening, earthwork, excavation, compaction, grading, curb and gutter, slope paving, leveling, storm sewer pipe, storm sewer structures, paving, patching, striping, markings, pavement markers, signing, traffic control, erosion and sediment control, and traffic signal and its associated appurtenances. The Contractor is responsible for executing all Work required to construct complete in place and ready to operate improvements shown in the Contract Documents and furnishing all labor, material, tools, equipment, and incidentals that are necessary to complete the Scope of Work in accordance with the Contract Documents The project site is located at the intersection of Moores Mill Road and Countess Road in Madison County, Alabama. A site location map is shown in Appendix 1, Figure 1. Both roadways are currently two-lane roads. The project will consist of widening of South Moores Mill Road from Station 180+00.00 to 200+15.00; Countess Road from Station 200+15.00 to 207+41.00; and East Moores Mill Road from Station 50+00.00 to 54+75.00. Question Deadline 11/05/2024 Should any bidder observe any ambiguity, discrepancy, omission, or error in the drawings and specifications, or in any other bid document, or be in doubt as to the intention and meaning of these documents, the bidder should immediately report such, in writing, to Taylor Schmidt, Madison County Engineering Department, 266-C Shields Road, Huntsville, Alabama 35811, or via email to tschmidt@madisoncountyal.gov. No clarifications will be made within 48 hours of the bid opening
