The County of Simcoe is requesting Responses from Applicants interested in placement on the County's Qualified Supplier List for the provision of Road Rehabilitation at various locations throughout the County of Simcoe. This Request for Prequalification process is intended to create a list of prequalified Road Rehabilitation Contractors who will be invited to respond to subsequent bid calls released by the County for the provision of services as described herein. Qualification is to ensure that all contractors interested in submitting competitive bids to the County, as a fundamental condition of being permitted to bid, have the necessary minimum technical, financial, and managerial competence to execute the work. Services include, but are not limited to the following: Road recycling utilizing cold-in-place and expanded asphalt recycling. Milling/Pulverizing asphalt Replacing asphalt with new hot-mix asphalt Repairs to existing curbs, sidewalks, and related structures Subgrade excavation & grading Installation of culverts, stormwater pipe and related structures Ditching Placement of shoulder material Only those Applicants placed on the Qualified Supplier List will receive further notices of Procurement covered by the Prequalification process. In these cases, the County will request a minimum of three (3) quotations from Prequalified Contractors who best align with the project at hand. The award of the project shall be based on a combination of experience and proposed cost. For Work valued less than $100,000 the County, in its sole discretion, may directly award Work to a Prequalified Contractor or to a non-Prequalified Contractor. The County reserves the right to obtain quotations or award business to roads rehabilitation Contractors outside the prequalified list in the event that Prequalified Contractors do not have the required experience or capacity.
