Reference Number 0000365488 Job Location: City of Thornton Work Site Location: a. The 5MG Tank is located 500 feet north of E 140th Ave and Dexter St in Thornton, Colorado on an existing parcel owned by the City of Thornton. The tank inlet and outlet waterline will tie into the existing Hilltop Tank inlet and suction waterlines located near Homestead Hills Park. The overflow waterline for the 5MG tank will tie into an existing storm manhole located at Dexter St and E 139th Ave. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: A. The Contract provides for the construction of one (1) fully buried five-million-gallon (5MG) concrete treated water storage tank and includes a tank mixing system, access hatches, ladders, and venting. Additional ancillary items which are part of the Work include, but are not limited to: erosion control, site grading, earthwork, inlet and outlet piping, bypass piping, overflow piping, drain piping, temporary and permanent access roads, fencing, miscellaneous yard piping, valves, vaults, and electrical equipment. 1. The 5MG concrete tank shall be either AWWA D110-Type III prestressed concrete water storage tank or AWWA D115 post tensioned concrete water storage tank. B. All Work, whether indicated specifically or not, shall be for a fully functioning and complete treated water storage tank system and facility.
