Renovation of an educational facility in Cary, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Replacement of Highcroft Elementary School Building Automation System Replacement project. Minority and women-owned businesses are encouraged to participate. Question Deadline 11/01/2024 Every request for such interpretation should be in writing addressed to the Design Consultant with a copy forwarded to the Owner General Notes: 1. New BAS system will be utilizing Bacnet/Lon Protocol with a Tridium based platform as per WCPSS design guidelines. 2. New JACE 8000's shall have the latest version of Niagara N4 installed 3. All JACE's shall have workbench embedded in them. 4. This project will have a $20,000 contingency included in the bid price as a line item. 5. As per specification WCPSS shall have the ability to program and modify the field controllers remotely, contractor shall include this in their base bid if required. 6. All work contained to the mechanical rooms may be done during occupied hours, as long as it is not disruptive to staff/students. All reasonable efforts shall be made to minimize system downtime. All shutdowns must be coordinated with school staff. 7. All work outside of the mechanical rooms (e.g. running new comm. link, controllers in classrooms/hallways, thermostats etc...) must be completed during unoccupied hours. 8. Contractor is responsible for all clean up, protection, patching, fire stopping and repair/replacement of any damaged material such as ceiling tiles, ceiling grid, etc... 9. All commissioning and functional testing with third party commissioning agent shall be included in this contract and consist of all procedures outlined in the design guidelines and commissioning procedures. 10. Contractor shall verify all new and existing devices to remain are calibrated and operating properly. 11. Contractor Shall Verify all existing site conditions in coordination with the mechanical and controls As-Builts. Contractor shall walk the site prior to the submittal of bid to verify all equipment, components and sensors will be properly integrated into the new BAS system under the base contract bid. The intent of this project is to provide a 100% complete BAS system with all existing equipment and components. WCPSS is not responsible for any missing control or mechanical as-builts and will not entertain any change order for equipment that is not shown properly on the existing documentation. 12. Contractor shall include 4 hours of training to the owner as part of this contract. 13. Contractor shall furnish and install a new Type 1 NEMA wall mounted enclosures for all controllers except VAV controllers. New enclosures shall include new wire duct & cover equal to Panduit type F/NE and an enclosure perforated panel for mounting of controller. 14. Refer to section 3.7 Permits, Fees and Notices in the General Conditions for payment of permits and other fees. 15. Contractor shall perform all work in accordance with all federal, state and local codes and regulations. The project consists of providing and installing all necessary material and labor for a complete and operational building automation system (BAS) as described in the written scope of work sheets and design guidelines The Wake County Public School System reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
