Bidders eligible to submit Bids for this Request for Tenders have been previously selected through the process of a Request for Prequalifications, issued under Contract C14-01-24 which closed on March 13, 2024. The Hamilton City Hall Renovations project is comprised of four distinct scopes-of-work: - Scope 1A) The Information Desk, within the ground floor lobby (approximately 23.2 s.m. (250 s.f.) in area), - Scope 1B) The Security Desk, within the ground floor lobby (approximately 18.5 s.m. (200 s.f.) in area). - Scope 2A) Access Control Improvements, to the doors of the main (mid-building) stair tower on floors 3 to 8, and - Scope 2B) New Offices and a Meeting Room, on level 3 (approximately 22.3 s.m. (245 s.f.) in area), level 5 (approximately 30.2 s.m. (325 s.f.) in area), and level 6 (approximately 26.9 s.m. (290 s.f.) in area). All work is within the existing Hamilton City Hall building, that was originally constructed in 1979 & extensively renovated in 2010. The building is an 8-storey listed heritage structure, fully sprinklered and constructed of non-combustible steel and concrete with a curtainwall cladding system. The main entrances address Main Steet West with servicing and loading facilities off the rear parking area accessed from Jackson Street West.
