NIT Phase 1 Deepening & Phase 2 Maintenance South Container Terminal The purpose of this Invitation for Bids (IFB) is to solicit bids to establish a Contract through competitive sealed bids for dredging within the existing berth and access channel of Norfolk International Terminals (NIT) South Container Terminal, encompassing maintenance dredging to a depth of -52'Mean Lower Low Water (MLLW and new work dredging to a depth of -57' MLLW. The Work shall be substantially complete by 274 calendar days from Notice to Proceed. It is the intent of the Virginia Port Authority to issue a Notice-to-Proceed on or around January 28, 2025. The Work shall be completed in all respects by 304 calendar days from Notice to Proceed. Each Bid must be submitted on the prescribed Bid Form and accompanied by Bid security as prescribed in the Instructions to Bidders. The Successful Bidder will be required to furnish the necessary additional Bond(s) for the faithful performance of the Work, as prescribed in the Bidding Documents. Each Bidder shall be required to comply with Executive Order No. 112461, BEC 202, dated September 24, 1965, and shall not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, creed, or national origin. Each Bidder shall be required to comply with attached Notice of Requirements for Affirmative Action to Ensure Equal Employment Opportunity (Executive Order 11246 and 41 CFR Part 60-4).
