As of January 10, 2025, project is awarded to Barnhill Contracting Company with the amount of $224,525.60. For the construction of and consisting of furnishing and installing the following: A. Resurfacing of approximately 7,155 linear feet of city streets consisting of approximately 19,501 square yards of 1" Bituminous Concrete Surface Paving (FS 9.5A). B. Asphalt used for leveling/widening (approximately 50 tons). C. Raise twenty-six (26) manholes with cast iron adjustment rings. D. Raise fifteen (19) valve boxes with cast iron rings. Bid proposals received after the time for opening will not be accepted and will be returned unopened. No bid proposal will be considered or accepted unless at the time of its filing, the same shall be accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, or certified check on a bank or trust company insured by the FDIC and authorized to do business in North Carolina in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the proposal. In the alternative, a five percent (5%) bid bond issued by a corporate surety licensed by the State of North Carolina may be filed with the proposal. Bidders must be properly licensed under Chapter 87 of the General Statutes of North Carolina and must comply with nondiscrimination provisions.
